Tabbed Forums Index

This resource will display categories/forums as tabs in Forums index.

Create Your Own Tabs:

You can create how many tabs you want. There are 4 types of tabs:

• All Root Categories: will add one tab for each root category
• Specific Root Categories: you can choose how many root categories you want to display per tab
• Specific Forums: you can choose how many forums you want to display per tab
• Clubs Specific Forums: you can choose which club forums you want to display per tab

Multi Language Support:

• You can give tabs different titles according to the languages you have installed in your board

Per Tab Permisison:

• You can also choose which user groups can view each tab.

Per Tab Style:

• Table view
• Grid view

Notes:

• It will add a new display option in the index if you allow members to choose forum view type
• A second line of tabs will show up if you have many root categories. The less the better.

Upgrade from Plugin to the Application:

• Simply install the application. It will add a tab automatically (All Root Categories) and will uninstall the plugin

• Added ability to choose the style per tab:
  • Table view

I have installed this application "Tabbed Forums Index" but application is not visible for the guests.

I have checked the permissions and everything is okay but still not visible for guests.

What i am doing wrong?

If you mean the buttons and not the tabs, they do not appear to guests:

That's a FORUMS thing, not related to my app and it's because it stores the user preference in a table.

My app isn't even installed so you can see it's a Forum thing.

I waana keep the tabbed view by default in all user classes. Is this possible?

Can i set to present two Tabs inside one specific forum page? (not in the main page category forums list)

Can i move topic between those two different tabs?

Is it compatible to mobile?

This has nothing to do with moderation. You move a topic to another forum as you always did.

Contact me again after a month or so after IPS5 is released. I have to update a lot of things (most sold first).

Can Tabbed Forums Index be added to a specific theme (handy for testing), or does it operate across all themes?

Presumably, it is responsive. But does this mean that tabs are simply returned, or do they transform into a dropdown or some such for mobile devices?

Is there a relatively easy way to change the tab text for different device types? The ability to add shortened versions for mobile devices would be helpful.

It uses the IPS4 look and feel, so it is like any other tab in mobiles: a dropdown is displayed, like this one in profile:

No the app is as it is. No additional support or modification is provided.

Also, it won’t be updated to IPS5 as IPS removed the ability to use hooks.

OK. Not needed anyway since a dropdown is generated.

Urgh. Of course I understand, but that’s very disappointing. Do you mean that you are abandoning the app, or merely that an update will be very delayed? (I think I know the answer - I just wish to be certain).
