Hello,

I just purchased Profile Video, which worked fine, but I'm assuming just inserting the "share" link of a YouTube does not work or will ever work? The link I got when I selected 'Embed' did work. But it may be confusing to my users.

Regarding the issue, I just also purchased Profile Backgrounds, and when I tried to install it, I received an error. I refreshed the page and tried again, and it installed with no problems.

On my profile page, when attempting to upload a jpeg, I am receiving the following error:

CleanShot 2025-02-15 at 17.45.45.png

Do you happen to know what may be causing this?

Also, these are my settings:

Thank you so much for your help.

What shows up in the logs?

I checked the Error and System logs, I did not see mention of it. When I checked the Administrator Logs, it only shows the following:

This is the Error Logs, when I first tried to install the application.

Uninstall it reinstall it, if you don’t have data on it.

Something went wrong in your installation.

If you have data, backup the table from this app, uninstall it and reinstall it then restore the table content.

I uninstalled, and reinstalled with no issues. Tried uploading an image and received this:

CleanShot 2025-02-16 at 10.31.50.png

I am able to upload images in regular posts with no issue, not sure what's wrong.

I am currently on the 30 day trial plan, but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

I disabled Profile Video and even placed the Profile Backgrounds module at the top (not sure if that means anything), tried again, and still failed.

Send a message with an account so I can see the error returned in the console.

You didn't change the app's Storage Settings in your ACP. It was using Amazon S3. I changed to BlackBlaze, and it works fine.

I’m so glad it was an easy fix. Thank you so much for your time and looking into this. I do plan on coming back and getting some more applications, such as Quizzes, Raffles and more. Any plans on making Videos IP5 compatible soon?

Thanks again.

Hey, before I buy, is there a functionality to allow users to use only backgrounds I provide? Something like a gallery. Thanks.

No. It’s an upload field, according to the screenshots.

@Adriano Would you be able to add an overlay and simple configuration options (overlay color & opacity) for it to this application?
An image without a dimming semi transparent overlay on top looks too bright and distracting. No professional community will use an application that lacks such a visual filter.

Here is what the profile looks like with a dimming overlay:

And here is how it looks without the overlay, current application state:
HKrBHOo.png

Any questions should disappear after comparing these two screenshots.

Below I will include how this feature is implemented on different engine based board. I can also sponsor the rework if you are interested.

You can add your own style in the custom.css, something like:

[data-pagecontroller="profile"]{position: relative;}
[data-pagecontroller="profile"]::after{
	content: "";
    background: #000000;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100% !important;
    min-height: 100% !important;
    display: table;
    position: absolute;
    top: 0px;
    left: 0px;
    z-index: -1;
    opacity: 0.7;
}

@Adriano Yeah, it worked, thanks buddy!

What's New in Version 2.0.4:

  • Add a new setting to remove the background image when the user’s group changes.

    • Only the primary group is considered.

Hi, I’m trying to upload a profile background, but I get an error:

Sorry, there is a problem

Something went wrong. Please try again.

This error was probably caused by application Profile Backgrounds.
If the issue persists, disable it and contact the author for further assistance.
