Staff Applications System

PERMISSION

NO ONE, except staff (with proper permission), will be able to view/read or know who the applicants are. All that regular members will know is the number of users who applied to it.

Are you looking for staff? Developers? Designers? Or anything else? This application will help admins/moderators to find people to help on their boards.

Here's a quick rundown of some of the features of this resource:

• Ability to create categories/subcategories 

• Extra Fields

  • In Position form

  • In the Application form

• Ability to create open positions in draft mode and choose a date to automatically publish it 

• Module to add Positions on ACP (moderator, web designer, developer, etc)

• Ability to inform how many places the position has. Example: You can create an application record to "hire" 3 moderators.

• Ability to move the "winner" member to a chosen group (you inform the group when you're adding the application record)

• Ability to restrict the application by Content count, Reputation points/likes, Number of days as a member, Minimum age, and groups

• Ability to create a topic at every new application submission.

• The module on ModeratorCP to view all pending records from all applications

• Compatible with the most important features from IPS 4.2 (Recommended Comments, Content Message, Reactions, Member History, Richer Embeds, etc.)

• Integrated into the framework: Tag system, Follow System, Report system, Search system, Share Links, etc.

• Moderator actions on applications, comments, and reviews

Hello, when the application is active, I receive this warning when I enter the blocks settings. It resolves when I deactivate the application.

This bug remains since Beta 5!!!! Waiting for IPS now.

After a member applies to a listing opened through the staff application, I get this error when the admin account approves their application.

Sorry, mate. I can’t release a new version every single day. Invite was the same; a version less than a week ago. Test the whole app, the whole process, and I’ll release a new version in a week.

If you want to fix it manually in the meantime, download and open applications / staffappsystem / modules / front /general / view.php. Find in lines 541 & 542:

        $conversation->authorize( $to );
        $conversation->authorize( \IPS\Member::loggedIn()->member_id );

Change to:

        $conversation->authorize( $member );
        $conversation->authorize( \IPS\Member::loggedIn() );

Save and upload the file.

Alright, no problem. I'll make the adjustments with the code you provided. As I continue testing, I'll report back to you, and I assume you'll update the author field in bulk again.

Hi, after upgrading to v5 my pictures and stuff got messed up so I was wondering how do I add the pictures to these listings as their isn't away for me to upload them to the post besides the thumbnail image. The stuff above the text where the images until it was broken

I can't fix these images, there is no way for me to upload them so I can fix it.

If the images are part of the description field, there’s nothing I can do; nothing has changed in the way the post is parsed. If the image is the position image you uploaded in the upload field, then it may be an issue.

So how do I put the images in the description field?

By copying and pasting? There’s only one upload field that accepts only one image. Nothing has changed from IPS4 to IPS5 in the way the content is parsed.

Hello There,

Just installed this very nice script, only to find a little problem. I noticed I was limited on how much editing I could do to an application I created, I wanted to modify the applicants join requirements, so I figured the easiest way to fix this is to delete and recreate.

When I went to delete the application, the below error appeared. If you know what could fix this issue with a software update or any code that I can manually change, would be very helpful.

Something that would be nice to have for future development would be the option to make more changes to applications

What's New in Version 2.0.3:

• Fix error when deleting a position

• Add the ability for moderators to change position restrictions (a new option in the Actions menu for moderators who can approve/reject applications).

• Open positions are being moderated when posted, even with the category option disabled.

• Send a notification to moderators whenever a pending position is submitted.

• Display a notice on the submission form stating that the position requires approval.

• Position thumbnails are not appearing on the Tags page.

Just purchased and installed. I denied an application. I got an error. It does not post the message of the denial in the application and it is not provided to the user.

Issue I'm having is the application will not post to a discussion forum. When an application is denied, the actual denial reason is not being provided to the user or being posted in the application itself.

Please test the whole application and come back with a list of issues you may find. I can’t release a new version per day.
