• First tab: Topics or Posts

• Posts: display each topic only once (latest reply)

• Number of items to show

🙏🏻In a future update, would you please add an option to hide unpublished content?

I have two permanently stuck topics, due to them being set to go live in the future, and it sort of throws me off new content. I should have had the foresight to suggest this originally, but unfortunately it slipped my mind. Just to be clear, I am asking for only visible content to show, so unpublished or hidden topics won't.

(I don't know if hidden topics or posts do show.)

I just tested, and the same happens with the Topic Feed widget:

It appears for those who can view, but not for the larger audience.

It's not a bug, as you will have seen but from time to time there might be 5 topics awaiting to be published. Currently I have two, which has been set by a moderator but it does fill in the spaces and makes it less effecctive for team members to view what's now. If you could add a setting to omit them, that would be great my friend.

Feature Request: Highlight unread content as in the forum.

Would it be possible to highlight unread content in the widget in the same way as the regular topics list in the forums list does (bold and blue dot) and as the old "Recent Topics" addon for IC4 did?

Right now all topics and posts in the widget are displayed as they would have been read already, which confuses users in our community who were used to the old widget.

This widget is cached, which means it will show the same content for everyone. That’s why IPS removed it from their widgets. It won’t show the real topic state: it may be showing unread when it was already read and vice-versa and this will surely confuse the users.

Oh, that's a pitty. But I understand.

Here is another suggestion:

The new Block Editor allows for easy placement of multiplace widget to by placed in columns side by side.
It would by nice to have an option, to disable the "Posts / Topics"-Switch an rather have just listed topics or posts. This way you could place two instances of the widget side by side and have both (topics and posts) displayed at the same time, or one below the other in the sidebar, or just post / just topics if you want.

The title of the widget should than be given in the settings of each instance to have it different for each, just like in the "Clubs" widget for example:

One last wish to have it perfect: Now that we can have the widget multiple times side by side, it would be nice to have an option to only show latest topics or only latest posts. The tab-switch between posts and topics should be hidden then, like so: (mock):

And in the native IC5 widgets there is an option to set a title for every active language. Would that also be possible for this widget?:

You can use the IPS widgets. They act exactly like that.

Yes, but the way those widgets display the contents are not quite es nice as in yours, and they are wasting to much screen space.

But it's ok. I just found, that I can hide the tab switch using custom CSS.
